OUR MINISTRIES
The Men’s Ministry objective is to: disciple, train and equip the men of VFC and communities in their roles as men of God. This responsibility is for the married, single, older and even younger men. We seek to provide a venue for modeling the life of Christ to men. We seek to do this through teaching, fellowship, and service; providing opportunity for fostering spiritual friendships and developing discipline relationships, so that men can grow in conformity to Christ, specifically in their roles as men.
MEN
Women
The women’s ministry offers resourceful opportunities with the purpose to equip women to mature in their relationship in Christ, to fellowship with one another, and to serve others through Christ. This is achieved through providing positive role models and mentoring to all women this ministry reaches.
Youth
The purpose of our youth ministry is to help educate and bring youth into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, their families and one another. This will be accomplished through providing positive mentoring and guidance. We will continue to challenge and encourage our youth to commit their lives to Christ through discipline and consistency.
Children's Ministry
This ministry caters to children 12 years old and under. Its Teachings includes children bible study, Sunday school and vacation bible classes. Our biblical strategy is focused on reaching the children on their level.
Children Nursery Ministry
This ministry caters to parents in need for a temporary nursery during Sunday Morning Worship. This ministry will allow parents to concentrate and get more involved in the services.
Advisory Board
The advisory board ministry has been set up to assist the pastor in accomplishing the vision and mission of this ministry. The members of this board will learn and know the mission, vision and purpose of this ministry. They will work in connection with the Pastors’ oversight in ensuring the mission, vision and purpose is achieved through various creative and godly ideas, team work, partnership and unity.
Singles
This ministry’s focus is to attract singles so that they would learn how to live a life pleasing to God until his/her partner comes. This goal is primarily achieved through effective communication of the gospel, teamwork, outreach programs within the communities and effective witnessing to singles.
Young Adult
This ministry’s focus is to the young adult ranging from ages 18 to 35 years old. This dynamic ministry strongly believes that this age group is also vitally important to the kingdom of God. Young adults will learn and develop their spiritual gifts so that they will teach and develop others while impacting the Kingdom!
Sunday School
The purpose for Sunday school is to effectively communicate the gospel to children, teenagers and adults through biblical teachings in a class setting. Sunday school should provide an atmosphere for growth and energy which produces spiritual development to its listeners and attendees.
Music
The music ministry of a church is important for the entire congregation. For the unsaved, it sets the mood for them to hear the gospel and receive the gift of salvation. For the new believers, it sets the atmosphere for them to hear the Word of God for instructions and directions. For the more mature, it sets the mood for praise and worship unto the Lord. While the right music cannot save a dead service, the wrong music could seriously injure a living one. The music can be either a vitamin or a tranquilizer. This area of ministry plays an important part of our ministry’s success in order to operate in the spirit of excellence!
Media Ministry
This ministry focuses on our media department. This is where we provide videos, live webcam, books and podcasts for all of whom are interested in furthering their spiritual growth
Hospitality
The Hospitality Ministry was established to create an atmosphere of love, fellowship, and excitement for everyone who enters our church through a friendly welcome, knowledgeable information about the church, and help for those who need it.
Christian Education
Christian Education Ministry involves the administration and coordination of programs and strategies to facilitate the spiritual growth and discipleship of believers into Christ-likeness. A Director of Christian Education certainly will provide pivotal leadership skills. This area of ministry will report to the Pastors’ or delegated person.
Pastorial Care
The pastors’ aide ministry serves as a spiritual, financial and emotional support system for the pastors as well as their family. As such, committee members may be privy to details or areas of the pastors’ life that other congregants may not be aware of. Serving as a pastors’ aide committee member requires the highest level of confidentiality.
Administration
This area of ministry assists the pastors in the operation of ministry ensuring that the spirit of excellence is demonstrated at all times. This is executed through teamwork and a consistent focus of the vision and purpose of this ministry.
Community Outreach Ministry
This ministry caters to its local communities. We provide different services, in terms of food, musical programs and other needed services.
Prison
This is an outreach ministry unto the communities. This ministry’s focus is to help support families who may have family members incarcerated through visitations, letters and court appearances. Members of this ministry are committed to help assist families who are in need of this prison ministry!
